Wild Rock offers an assortment of equipment rentals. This is one of the best
ways to try that new canoe, kayak, tent or set of snowshoes before you buy.
If like the product that you are trying out, hang on to your rental
receipts. You can use the money that you put towards your rental against the
purchase of a new product. For example, Ms. X rents a whitewater kayak for
the weekend. Since 2 days of rental on a whitewater kayak is $20/day + GST,
Ms. X will receive $42.80 off her purchase of the kayak if she ends up
buying a new one.

Special Orders
If there is something that you're looking for but can't find we'd like to do our best to help you get it. Whether it's a size that we are sold out of or something you've seen before but can't find, talk to our staff and we will do our best to get it to you in a timely fashion.
Please note that if the item is something that we do not usually have in the store, we ask that you provide a 20% deposit that is refundable if the item is unavailable. If you decide that it is not for you, this deposit is unfortunately non-refundable.
Holds
If there is something that you see that you would like to buy but for one reason or another need to wait a few days to purchase it, you are welcome to put it on hold. We are happy to keep items on hold for a week without a deposit. It is our policy not to do holds on items that are on sale.
Layaways
Another option is to put an item on layaway by putting a 20% deposit down.
Warranties
If you have a problem with any of your purchases, feel free to ask a staff about the best course of action. Each company has a different policy regarding their products but here are some general guidelines:
Most warranties cover "manufacturer's defects." This means that if there was something wrong in the construction of the product, they will fix or replace it. This also means that if it appears that the product is the way it is from regular wear and tear, most companies will not cover it.
Depending on the company, some warranties can take up to 4-6 weeks to get back to the store. We often recommend that if the product is usable and needed for a particular season, it's best to hold on to it and send it back at a more convenient time.
It is up to the manufacturer whether to fix, replace, credit or return an item.
If a credit is issued, the customer will have a credit at Wild Rock for the price of the item (taxes included).
If the item is not under warranty, the customer may be charged a repair fee. If the item is not under warranty and not repairable, some companies offer a new item at a discounted price. You will be advised of these options.
Shipping fees are applicable even if the item is under warranty.
