Skijoring Pull Clinic
Have you ever pondered the question of how to get your four-legged friend out for a good run, without tiring yourself out in the process? Do you like the feeling wind rushing across your face? Was your favourite character in "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," Yukon Cornelius? Ours too.
In partnership with All Creatures Great and Small, Wild Rock is pleased to announce a Skijoring Pull Clinic, Sunday December 14, 2008 at Nichol's Oval, from 11 am to 1pm. The cost is $25. Dog harnesses will be provided. Contact All Creatures Great and Small for details: (705) 755-0416.
Cross-country skate skis will be available for rent from Wild Rock. Rental cost for this event will be a $10 donation to Lakefield Animal Welfare Services.
Ski and Snowboard Trip
Wild Rock Outfitters will be running a single ski and snowboard trip this year. Details where not yet confirmed at press time, so look for updates on our website, on Facebook, or in the store, starting November 1, 2008.

The winter is fast approaching and it is time to start thinking about your cycling/multisport training for the 2009 season and how you can be your fittest for Spring. Not to worry though, The 24/7 Wild Rock Gym is back again and we have upgraded the facility with new cycling trainers, cycling power computers, dumbbell racks and there will be more improvements to come in the weeks ahead.
We have also created 3 membership options in order to cater to different requests and needs of the training community. Please see the options below (note all memberships and fees are for the full 6 months from November 1st to April 30th ):
1) Bronze Membership $179.99 + taxes - 24/7 access to cycling trainers and weight lifting equipment
2) Silver Membership $299.99 + taxes - Same as above with the addition of 3 structured 1-hour cycling training sessions per week
3) Gold Membership $469.99 + taxes - Same as above with the addition of a structured 6 month online cycling program and 1 cycling threshold test in November (to determine heart rate training zones)
Now some of you already have a training program or have a space to ride your bike indoors so we created stand-alone training services that can be purchased as a one-time fee. These services include the following:
1) Cycling Threshold Testing on a Computrainer Pro cycling trainer - $74.99 - this will determine your training heart rate and power zones and will allow you to train more effectively with your available training time.
2) 6 month Cycling Training Program - $119.99 - this is structured indoor online cycling training program that will give you a day-to-day workout to follow so that you are fit and ready for spring.
3) Cycling Drop in Session - If you have a Bronze membership just want to come for the odd indoor cycling session there is a fee of $5.00 for each session you attend. Even if you do not have a Bronze membership you can come for these sessions. Come early for this as it is first come first to get access to a trainer.
The 24/7 Wild Rock Gym is located under the WOLF Radio offices at the corner of George and King Street. Access is gained through the back parking lot - there is plenty of parking.
